Happy Monday, everyone!
Oh this weekend was most certainly filled with goodness.
Celebrated one of my best friend's birthday, another one of other best friend got engaged the day before her birthday, I got to catch up with several friends, do lots of walking around in gorgeous NYC fall weather, AND finally checked off an epic meal off my food bucket list. Whew!
Foodie nerd alert: Ever since I watched the documentary, Jiro Dreams of Sushi (on Netflix!), I have been consumed with the thought of experiencing my first sushi omakase dinner. Chef Jiro Ono is the only sushi chef to receive 3 Michelin stars and Japan's most revered chef. Chef Daisuke Nakazawa is a protege of his, and his restaurant opened 3 years ago. I have been dying to go for the longest time, so my best friend and I finally decided to bite the bullet and do it.
It was absolutely unreal and now sushi has pretty much been ruined for me. Because, now, anything subpar will seem so disappointing!
Anyway, you may be wondering why I'm talking about sushi when this post is about spaghetti bolognese. Well, I have just been in the mood for all kinds of flavorful, filling food lately, perhaps with the cooling of the weather. After my Banza giveaway last week, I wanted to make a batch of bolognese sauce to pop in my freezer, because it's actually quite a wholesome sauce to have on hand for a quick weekday dinner.
I love this easy bolognese recipe by the team at Banza for an easy, healthy bolognese recipe. It's filled with veggies, and made with pure ingredients. Combine that with a high-protein and lower carb pasta like Banza's new spaghetti, you've got yourself a deliciously fulfilling hearty meal that fits into your nutrition game.
By the way, this post is not sponsored-- while I do do awesome work with Banza, I'm just personally thrilled with the launch of the spaghetti because I miss twirling noodles like crazy. And sauce sticks to this gluten-free noodle BEAUTIFULLY with no soggy issues whatsoever. You guys also do get 25% off with the code MINNALY25 though, on Banza's website!
Just wanted to share this recipe with you guys today since I love it so much! It's a busy month of content coming up, so while I'm working on that, I'll leave you guys with the recipe link below. Hope you all have a great start to the week!
