Favorite Friday Finds 36.0

Happy Friday, everyone! We are heading at full speed 'til Christmas it seems!

Been busy gearing up for a lot of fun content coming your way for the rest of this month, and I'm thrilled to finally be getting my first weekend at home in over a month to catch up on some stuff. I'm also SO excited to get my new computer next week. That is the understatement of the century haha!

My laptop has been running on its last legs for an entire year now, and it is barely functional- this ends up making me waste double the time doing anything on the computer, so its been a major pain in my side for awhile. SO, I'm busy with so much computer and website admin stuff, getting ready for the transition and to finally install some new software that will help make this blog grow even better and bigger.

Anyhow, this week I have holiday-themed like finds for you, with the most adorable holiday commercial this season, and some working tips to get you powered through Q4 so you can scamper off to celebrate the holidays, stress-free. Also, if you guys are using this weekend to gift-hunt, check out my gift guides for the fit foodie (kitchen gadget edition) and the jetsetter-
I'll be bringing you several more gift guides throughout the month too!

Here are the 7 things that inspired me, that I learned from, and that made me laugh/smile this week!

1. This Woman's Gumption

This is just an amazing story of intentional living. Dreams and goals are nice, but action is what makes them into something other than wishes and thoughts- this woman is so inspirational!

2. Secrets of the Most Productive People of 2016

Awesome peek into some inspiring peoples' driven minds.
I adored what Cathy Engelbert said about our society drowning in data, leading to the inability to be insightful if deluged with information. She never goes to her phone in the morning.
Ahem, sound familiar?

3. How 7 Female Leaders Spend Their First Hour at Work

Loved the insight all 7 kickass women had to share, like Lauren Conrad's prioritization of human connection in the mornings, and Eva Chen pointing out the forgotten correlation between productivity and healthy eating: "Research suggests it’s game-changing. Those who reach for unhealthy snacks, or forego food altogether, have a 66% higher chance of having an unproductive day."

But the most resonating piece of advice that I truly can attest changing my entrepreneurial workday is to prioritize creative and production tasks (writing, design, creating) before any reactive tasks (emails, social media interactions).

4. Signs of Burnout and What to Do

It's Q4, and the burnout of 2016 is REAL.

Love how this piece addresses the "unrelenting hustle" and the resulting neglect of health and loss of perspective; and most importantly, what to do about it.

5. Gratitude in an Over-Entitled World

So the actual title of the article is 7 Ways to Raise Grateful Kids in an Over-Entitled World, but I could think of quite a few of us adults who could take every single one of these to heart.

Placing Gratitude > Expectation changes your life and how you experience it.

6. Best Holiday Commercial of the Year

If you haven't seen this yet, go grab a tissue and wait for it.

7. Penguins in Santa Outfits

Okay normally I think it's mildly mean to put animals in outfits for our own human amusement, but LOOK AT THESE PENGUINS.
